“God tells us to not take vengeance for ourselves, however this does not mean we are called to be passive either”

There is nothing wrong with the feeling of anger, for wrongs and injustice to frustrate you. Jesus demonstrated anger at sin (John 2:15-17), so does God (Deuteronomy 9:8). However, it is how we channel this anger that is important (Ephesians 4:26-27)

Do we try to take it into our own hands, or do we entrust justice to God? (Romans 12:9)

God tells us to not take vengeance for ourselves, however this does not mean we are called to be passive either (Proverbs 31:8).

Application:

When experiencing anger and inclined to violence, start by removing yourself from the situation.

Pray to God and ask Him to help you by the power of the Holy Spirit to remain calm. Then ask Him to show you a way to deal with this anger in a manor than honours and glorifies Him.

Pray for those who have hurt you. For God to heal them and bring them to repentance.
